My thought is to have a few here and then link to the main FAQ page.
Who can go to immerse?
Any high school student that has completed 9th grade can go to Immerse.
Do I go with my youth group?
This is not designed as a “youth group” activity. However, multiple youth from one church may attend!
How much does it cost?
Registration is $500 if registered by January 31, $550 if registered by March 31. Latecomers will be considered on a case by case basis if there is space after March 31. Latecomer registration: $600.
What does my registration pay for?
Once you arrive you should not need to spend any money.
Your registration covers…
Food: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
High Ropes Challenge Course fee
Transportation to all different activities and locales while on site
Program Fees – helps provide funding for staffing to keep event going
What if the registration cost is too expensive?
If you are interested in Immerse, fill out an application. Send the director an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and ask for help finding funding. If you want to come, we will help you get here! Here are some steps we will guide you through first.
Think through why you want to go, so you can provide a compelling reason for someone to help you.
Talk with your pastor or youth leader about the church providing funds.
If the church cannot fund you, ask them if they know of anyone else who could help you.
Ask family and friends to support either a portion or all of your registration. Checks can be sent directly to Immerse (via checks written to Northern Lighthouse, our financial avenue) if family or friends wish.
What can I expect?
Participants are encouraged to come into the experience with a willingness and desire to learn, grow, and be challenged. You will do a variety of things, including small group time, individual quiet time, some large group teaching time, leadership activities and games, teambuilders, fellowship with other participants, churches, and the less fortunate, serving at local missons, coming alongside local Christians as they interact with and care for others, and learning and growing in faith, among other things!
This is a Learn at Your Pace environment. We will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and into a learning zone, but we will not push you past into your danger zone.
How do I sign up?
Fill out an application and send your non-refundable $50 deposit. Once receiving your application, we will follow up with you regarding your admission status. If, after prayerful consideration, your application is disallowed, you will be returned your $50 deposit.
Registration is not yet open. Click here to get a notification once it does open.
Why is there an application process? And, if I apply, how likely will I get to go?
The application allows us to ensure that participants are coming because they want to grow, learn, and be challenged. It also helps us gain a picture if they are ready for the challenging program provided. This will provide a better experience for all. Get your application in early to increase the likelihood that you will get into this amazing experience!
