Will we have a “Free Day?”

Yes. Your group will have Thursday until 4:00 pm free. Youth leaders may plan the day according to their group’s interests. We are happy to provide ideas about local activities available. A few possibilities include: (1) A day at the Omaha Zoo (rated #1 in the world according to TripAdvisor); (2) Defy Gravity–a trampoline park in Lincoln that boasts of 10,000 sq. ft. of jumping space (3) A day at Mahoney State Park (which has a pool with large water slides, paddle boat rentals, mini golf, hiking trails, etc.). Your group can tailor the day to your choosing.

How do I reserve the week that works best for our group?

Call Beth at 402-217-2352 to confirm availability of desired dates. When you have secured your dates, mail a $300 non-refundable deposit to:

F Street Neighborhood Church
Attention: Beth Heerspink
1302 F Street
Lincoln, NE 68508

Please download the registration form and include with payment. You can expect confirmation within 1-2 days of receipt.

When does registration open?

You can reserve your dates any time. The sooner that your group registers, the greater possibility you will be able to reserve the week you would like.

What size does our group need to be?

Each group must have a minimum of five participants. If your group is smaller than five students, we can try to combine you with another smaller group.  We are set up to accommodate groups up to 30; if your group is larger than that, please discuss details with Beth.

Do we need adult leaders to attend?

We ask that you have one adult leader per six students. If you have male and female students, we ask that you send both a male and a female leader.

What is the cost of “Immerse”?

The registration fee is $250/student and $125/leader. .

What additional expenses will we have?

Your registration fee covers all expenses (food, lodging, program, etc.). Your group will be responsible for transportation to Lincoln, and also for expenses related to your free day (the cost of one lunch and any local activities your group chooses to do).  Students may choose to bring along minimal spending money for local stores (i.e. ice cream).

Where will our group be staying?

Your group will be staying at the F Street Neighborhood Church in Lincoln (1302 F Street). Guys and girls will have separate areas of the church to sleep, and as a side note, the facility is the perfect environment for Sardines.

How should we go about fundraising?

Your group may choose to do fundraisers together or individuals may choose to write a support letter to raise funds. Ask us for additional resources for planning group fundraisers—we have lots of ideas.

When is the balance due?

The balance of your trip cost is due May 1. Your $300 deposit will apply to the total cost of the trip. Except medical emergencies, there are no refunds after May 1.

When do you need to know how many students are going?

Student registration forms are due April 1. This will give us ample time to arrange projects according to the size and skills of your youth group.
